Foster home testimonials:
"Fostering
dogs for Second Chance for Pets is a wonderful, rewarding
experience. Very few things in life make meas happy as placing
dogs in their forever homes, knowing that they will be well
cared for and loved. Sharing much of my free time caring for
and training foster dogs has taught me so much about the joys
and sacrifices of animal rescue. I wouldn't trade my experiences
for anything, and I will be fostering with Second Chance for
Pets for a long, long time!" Leeann Howland, Volunteer,
Webmaster, and Foster Mom
"Opening my home and heart to a pet
in need has been a wonderful experience. You cannot replace
the joy and fulfillment you get when you have saved a pet
from euthanasia and then seeing them happy, healthy in their
new loving forever homes. Knowing that I had a major part
in the pets' happiness and helping to complete families
is a great way to spend the little bit of extra time I do
have. Saving just one really does make a difference. I highly
recommend the experience and know that it can change your
life." Heather, Volunteer and Foster Mom
"My name is Cathy, and I foster animals
for Second Chance for Pets. Prior to being involved with
the group, I took in strays and had them vetted and placed
them in loving homes. I always checked up on the animals
I placed. Taking animals into my home has taught my children
and now my grandchildren many things, They have learned
to be responsible because animals require care. They learned
respect because nobody wants someone pulling on their tails
or ears. I think the most important thing that we have all
learned is that an animal gives you unconditional love.
There is nothing more fulfilling than getting that phone
call or letter with pictures of the animals you have loved
and cared for and now passed on to their permanent home.
I will probably go to my grave being known as the crazy
animal lady, and that's okay because I love saving them."
